Hi puppets! I'm happy you seem to like my two new pieces.
I'm REALLY getting into film photography. Yesterday my dad asked me if I'm becoming a camera collector, to which I replied, "Is that a bad thing?" I actually think I am becoming one. Already I have a Polaroid SX-70 (though I don't use it, I have yet to modify it for modern use and it's in Montana), a Nikkormat EL with a killer lens (I need to take it to the repair shop, there's something wrong with it I'm afraid), a Diana F+, and a Diana Mini, not to mention my 5D MK II and my (no longer used) Rebel XT. I've been hunting for a Canon AF35ML as well (once so popular, now so difficult to find), but my most potent desire is a Pentacon 6 TL with a Biometar 80mm f/2.8 lens. King Santa Claus Jesus, help me out please?
My sub should be gone within hours now. T'was nice while it lasted!
Anyways, just 1 question for you:
1) In these digital times, do you ever worry about how your art will last?
I do. It really scares me...knowing that the majority of my work exists as pixels on a screen and data on my harddrive. When I'm dead, how will it be preserved? Even printing it all onto paper can't ensure its legacy. Maybe I need to print a ton of large hardcover books, enough to hopefully get stored somewhere where hundreds of years from now it they can be found.
Anon, my puppets!
Diana

The love that dares not speak its name in this century...is beautiful, it is fine, it is the noblest form of affection. There is nothing unnatural about it. That it should be so, the world does not understand.
